Geography Teaching Role – Immediate Start | Hackney Area

The successful candidate for the Teacher of Geography will:
• Hold DfE Qualified Teacher Status, an undergraduate degree.
• Be an outstanding practitioner who inspires pupils and have experience of teaching in successful inner London school
• Be flexible, collaborative, and resilient
• Contribute to the whole life of the school through our extensive enrichment programme.
• Have the highest ambitions for your pupils, the department, the school and yourself
• Teach high-quality and successful lessons to all age groups.
• Be a Form Tutor and/or Personal Adviser.
• Monitor pupils from performance data.
• Address underachievement through contributing to Academy strategy as well as developing and implementing department strategies and approaches.
• Provide assessment to students and parents as required.
• Fulfil reporting requirements.
• Liaise with parents to ensure excellent attainment.
• Support extended day activities to enhance pupils’ learning experiences.
• Manage the behaviour of students in classrooms and around the academy.

This is an Academy that serves a richly diverse area of East London, with many ethnic groups and languages represented. We have good facilities, including sports facilities, and opportunities to teach across the full age range.
