History Teacher Needed January 2022 | Redbridge Area


A secondary Catholic Academy in Seven Kings, Redbridge are in search of a History teacher to join their department from January 2022. This school has great history of serving the community for over 40 years. The school is close to a central station, with a strong disciplines and ethos’s for students to carry throughout their life’s. The school was the first Roman Catholic school in the area.

They pride themselves on striving for excellence, they are looking for a teacher to help develop and shape their students.

• To take responsibility for consistently and actively implementing school policies and practices.
• To take responsibility for own professional development and performance.
• To carry out supervising duties in accordance with published schedules.
• To communicate effectively in appropriate meetings with colleagues, parents and outside bodies.
• To participate in performance management arrangements.
• To participate in public and internal examination arrangements.
• To comply with the Academy’s Health and Safety policy and undertake risk assessment as appropriate.
The relevant candidate must have:
• Educated to degree level
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A thorough knowledge of present curriculum developments in the relevant subject(s)
• Secure knowledge and understanding of the specialist subject, including knowledge specified in the relevant National Curriculum
• An understanding of the characteristics of high-quality teaching and the main strategies for improving and sustaining high standards of teaching, learning and achievement for all students in an inner-city environment
• High expectations of all students and a commitment to ensure all students’ needs are met
• A clear understanding of equal opportunities and its practice in a school
• Ability and willingness to work as part of a team
• The ability to communicate both orally and in writing as required under the Job Description.
• A good record of attendance and punctuality.
