Reprographics and Marketing Officer

We are seeking an experienced Reprographics and Administration Assistant to work within our high performing Academy. You will be experienced in Reprographics and be able to manage your workload effectively to be able to deliver high quality service.

Main Areas of Responsibility

To plan and supervise the work of Central Resources
To ensure that high standards are maintained in the production and provision of all materials
To design and produce all curriculum, publicity and administrative work in Central Resources, and to have control of 'House Style'
To liaise with outside agencies when necessary
To work with departments to produce high quality, relevant displays throughout the academy
To design, develop and manage internal and external academy communication systems
To provide verbal and written advice to staff, students and the community regarding use, provision, development of Central Resources
To be responsible for central marketing strategy
To design and produce the documentation for the celebration of achievement, schools events & productions
To contribute to overall policy and planning in the development of administration and learning resources
To maintain a tidy, purposeful and professional working environment at all times
To keep accurate and up to date stock records
To manage and develop the technology used across the academy for production of materials
To be responsible for the income generation of Central Resources ensuring all reprographics are cost effective and directly enhance the quality of teaching and learning
Responsible for the centre's budgets, and to organise any sale of goods and services to the academy, students and community. Keeping up to date records in line with academy procedures
To have oversight of the production of INSIGHT magazine, celebrating the achievements of the Academy, Displays of Learning
To lead and manage the Academy website
Under direction of line manager:

Reprography; including the operation of reprographic equipment
Assistance in the first line maintenance of reprographic equipment
The assistance in maintaining a charge back system and appropriate levels of consumable stock
The maintenance of stock records equipment and regular stock-taking checks
Support students and staff in their reprographic and equipment requirements
Ensuring continuous supplies of all staff workroom forms.
Supporting the copying and redacting of student files as required
Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have

English GCSE at Grade C / 5 or above (or equivalent)
An appropriate standard of academic qualifications
Training in reception procedures
Good level of administration skills
Excellent knowledge of IT packages e.g. Word, Excel, Publisher, Indesign
Literacy and Numeracy to Level 2
Training in use of reprographics equipment, knowing when to call in technical support
At least two years’ experience of working in an inner city school or educational establishment with children and young people
Experience of reception duties including dealing with visitors to the Academy in a professional manner
Experience of taking telephone messages from a range of stakeholders
At least three years’ experience working in a reprographics environment
Experience of designing and printing basic documents
Experience of managing a small budget
Experience of organising a busy service area effectively
Experience of liaising with printing maintenance contractors
Experience of maintaining a clean, tidy and well organised area
